TAR 21 recovered brass dents and dings

So here is the back story I have a buddy who has a TAR 21 chambered in .223.

He has been using factory rounds, and we have been recovering the brass so that I can reload it. I have noticed 2 things on the brass that has made me question its re-usability.

First mark, a dent on the side of the casing not very deep, and seems to have lessened with time and ware with the firearm.
I watched a couple YouTube videos in which, most of the people had informed that this is nothing to be worried about and will come out with the sizing die, and fire forming.

second mark, at the neck of the casing it is flattening out on one side, with id say 2/3rds of the neck staying round. I asked the local shops, one shop said its the gun and it should be looked at, and the other said it is normal for the TAR 21 to do that, and that the sizing die will take care of it.

So I thought I'd bring it to here and see what the consensus would be here.

I wouldn't worry about the damage that you see! If you were pulled out of your drivers seat of your car and flung across the road at anywhere near the speed that ejected brass leaves the chamber, I would suspect you would be alittle worse for wear as well! The sizing dies will iron out the neck and quite likely the small dent on the case side as well.

Many semi auto 223's leave exactly the same two marks. M1 and M14s also can dent the case mouth/neck. Both will be fixed by sizing/firing and are fine to reload.

Those marks are pretty common. I've seen the same marks on .223 brass shot through a C8 and my pistol brass. I've reloaded both without issue.

Believe my other buddy's AR does too.

The case necks will get resized and become round when you run it into you resizing die. But the dents on the body won't. But not to worry, nothing that 50,000 PSI won't iron out. By the time you fire it again and the violent extraction and ejection, it will just look the same next time you pick it up off the ground.
