Tara TM9 vs Girsan MC28

"Trigger sucks, action is no better and the finish on them leaves alot to be be desired."

Is this through personal experience? I have a Tara TM-9 and the Fit and Finish is fantastic and I am not saying for the price either. The finish is just as good as many high end firearms. The Trigger is a bit heavy but to be honest I have shot much worse IE: anything Norinco. The DARE trigger does take a bit to get used to but for $300 who cares. I have heard the same gripes about the mags but that comes with the method used to restrict them to 10 rnds or less. They would be pretty easy to bang out that dent and pin it properly. It is a sub $300 firearm not a Glock. I think people are unfairly judging the TM-9 with criteria from a gun that cost 2-3 times as much. It is NOT a Glock nor is it trying to be.

I bought a Tara when they were on sale for $300. The fit/finish quality of mine is, to me, well worth the $300. Mine came "dry" - I took it all apart based on Youtube videos and gave it lots of oil. Worked the slide a bit.

I've put maybe 400 rounds downrange so far and like others in this thread, I was not aware of the nature of the trigger on my first range trip. It is different. Yes, first double action pull is hard (but no worse than my Norinco NP762) but the trigger feature is DON'T FULLY RELEASE THE TRIGGER after you shoot. It resets after 5mm or so back travel, and then you are in single action mode. Much easier for shots 2 and on.

But yes, 100% agree that the magazine pinning is an issue. I have 5 magazines for it and 3 of them hold 9 rounds and 2 hold 10. I need to take them apart and see what I can do to get them all to hold 10 for future 3-gun shoots.
