I am in the final stage of getting my personal handgun shooting range approved and am looking for target holder designs to build myself. Does anyone know where i can find some ideas. I have the range design and construction guidelines book but would like to find more ideas.

Here's a couple of ideas:

Oh do tell in how this goes as im sure many handgun owners would be interested as to how many hurdles one needs to jump in order to build and be allowed to use a range such as this.

Thanks for the ideas. I basically built one today like Echo's but all out of wood. I made it 3 feet across and all the wood the same size so it's easily changed. I used 5/4 x 5 pine. The steel base would probably be better in the long run. Private ranges are nothing new as long as you have the land, proper backstops, etc. You have to follow the same rules and inspections as any other range except its just for yourself. My wife also shoots so this one is for both of us.
