Target ammo?

And where would be a good place to get cheap powder I'm in southern alberta

Right now, about the only way to find cheap powder, is if someone that doesn't load, and doesn't know the value, finds some in a building, or if someone passes away, and someone with no interest, or idea as to prices is trying to liquidate, what they have left. If a business is selling powder cheap, they don't have it long. Powder/primer/shot prices have increased to where the savings over cheap target loads doesn't save you much on 12 gauge target loads, although it's still worthwhile on 28 and 410 loads.

Surely you jest! :)

The popular powders such as Varget, Rld 22, 4831, 7828, etc are hard to find at any price. The not so common or less popular powders have some availablity in stores but there are no cheap prices compared to what they were a few months ago.

This!!!

Ran out of shells last week just bought 10 cases at $114 plus tax .That hurt.

$114 + tax isn't hurting nowadays. I'd buy a pallet of them at that price now!

I was in Cabela's Sunday...10 case flats were...$139.90 for Challengers/ $149.90 for Top Gun, Super Target and Herters/ $179.90 for AA's...makes me feel better that I just bought 23 flats of AA's for $135/flat tax in...that's less than the promo load prices now!!

Want to see major price increases look at duck and goose decoys...as much as doubled in two years! The Avian X full body Lessers I bought in 2020 for $399/dozen are $650/dozen this year and the Avian X Mallard full bodies I paid $279/dozen for are $479/dozen this year.

Free shipping at Cabela's this weekend over $149, so picked up another 500 rounds.
I suggest buying as finances allow when deals come up.

Let us know how that works out. I've had to cancel orders in the past because free shipping didn't cover ammo. After they slapped a dangerous goods fee on it, it definitely wasn't worth it anymore. Unless you choose the "Free Ship to Store" option then it can be a great deal

I noticed some 20 gauge Gun Club at Prophet River, so for $120/flat, I bought the 4 flats they had. 20 gauge has pretty much disappeared around here.

Getting excited for $110 flats of challenger...
What a time to be alive.

It is sad, but when people are paying $140 for a flat of Challenger, because that is all that they can get, $110 is at least a worthwhile savings. I am just glad that I bought over 30 flats of the Remington STS and 27 loads this spring at $125 to $130, rather than paying $140 for Challengers all summer.

Yesterday, Cabelas had a Challenger target load on for $9.99, as part of their one day Wednesday sale. I never saw the add until last night, so it was too late to even alert our club members. It was only on #9, so really only ideal for skeet, had the #8 been on for the same price, I would have bout 20 flats or so online.

I was told by a guy at our club that Bass pro got a bunch of Winchester AA flats in for $99 a few weeks ago . Thought I usually never have any luck with finding deals but i'll drive out and see. Sure enough they had flats of AA's but there $159 now with Herters not too far behind at $130. No lucky break.
