My ATT was emailed to the Grange. Only a week and a half a the CFO's office. I hope they can email it to me so I don't have to make
A special trip to pick it up.

I paid back in March 23rd. Still have not heard anything back. They did however tell me there was about a 4-5 month wait as of March.
 
The ranges are closed until Thursday for the new backstops to be installed in Range B. Unfortunately they have to close A as well, to bring the steel baffles through the big truck door. At some point, I think in July, they'll have to close it down for a couple of days while the new air conditioning units are hoisted on to the roof, installed and connected. Later they will be upgrading the target handling systems and other equipment inside. So this process has been pretty disruptive. Keep watching their posts on Facebook and CGN and be patient. It will be worth it in the end.
 
To all,

The majority of the steel work is being completed in Range B tomorrow and then electrical will start.

Yes, the poor lighting in Range A has been noted and we expect to double the lumens over the next week.

The HVAC units for both ranges are to be ready for delivery around July 1st, so we expect installation to begin on July 6th. It will take approximately one week and during this time both ranges will be closed.

We expect that by mid July, we should have everything operating as per normal.

However, we still want to do more:

The Level 4 ballistic glass has arrived in Calgary, so construction will begin soon on the new lane dividers, but do not expect them ready for installation until August

The new railed target retrieval systems are on order, but will not be ready for another 2-3 months.

What we are planning on doing, is schedule the installation of both the dividers and retrieval system once they are both in the facility. However, with this ding sometime around September/October, we will let everyone know closer to the event. We are hoping sooner, but we are at the mercy of the manufacturer.

As you can see; our initial $250k project has ballooned to be over $600k .

Please be patient wit the facility and the staff during this time. Also keep in mind, the Grange is independent of us and any issues with them should be initially directed toward their president; Dr. M Hawke.

Keep the information flowing and people will be patient. Even if they are like kids jumping up and down saying "is it ready yet?"

I hope I can sneek in next week and shoot before the next phase of work, so I can flash my fancy new key fob ;-)

By mid July, is this when you expect the CFO to give the type of ammo that can be used in the range?

The problem is that we were relying on the Grange to pass on info. This obviously did not work (for a number of reasons).

What we have done is "upsize" the B range so that everything in it is rifle rated. The baffles are 1/4 AR 450 steel. they are freakin' huge.

We are also, when we put in the new lane dividers, install 2 rifle style benches in B range with lower targets.

This is giving us a range rating of .50 BMG. Now don't get too excited as we as a facility will be putting in our own limits.

For one thing: NO and I mean NO surplus 7.62x39 period. It chews up everything.

But no more frangible .223/5.56, .308.... Checking zeros on hunting rifles will be okay too.

Down side with the rubber backstops; no more birdshot. #4's as a minimum or it pulverizes the rubber and is a ##### to clean. But slugs and buck are okay all day long.

We are exploring options to mitigate sound between the ranges as well.

We are going to work through the details so that the new calibres can be introduced after the HVAC is completed.

Lots of modern manufacturers buy steel cases to load for that round as it makes a lot of economic sense.

It has nothing to do with what flies down range.

Can someone provide "Dr. Hawke"'s email address, it's no where to be frond on the Grange website. 10 weeks and counting, haven't heard I peep since I paid my money
 
It's awesome to see the improvement in forum activity from the people at TSC on here lately. Finally getting some quality updates and feel like you are in the "know".

However, I'm pretty letdown with the lack of communication in regards to when the next CLSC's are going to be. There is clearly a huge demand for another class to be held. I understand that delays arise, but to have almost zero communication in regards to what the hold up is, while in the mean time still accepting "new members" ie) people paying to go on to a list is very frustrating. I just don't understand how the grange can remain completely silent about the issue. Surely they have been getting feedback from other new members as well as all the grief the TSC staff have been taking at the counter. All in all, it's been pretty unprofessional in that aspect.
 
When did you provide your completed form? When I joined last October it ranged from 6-8 weeks before I was able to be booked into a CLSC.
