1 black patch. 1" by 1" on a white background.

That's what I use often. I'm also using this target a lot. It's a 3X3" black square with 1X1" white centre.

The target has squares to quickly figure out scope adjustments without having to carry a ruler or tape measure. I go to my nearest Staples store to copy 100 at a time for $0.05 each or so :D

I bore sight and start at 300m.

I bore sight on a clay bird at 200m , 300m, or 500m, depending on my mood.
Shoot once at the clay and chase the bullet strike untill I hit the clay.
Then I go to 100 and use a black target patch to shoot for POI check.
From there it is hash marks or turrets, deppending on the scope.

My irons usually get done at 200m for zeroing, then 100.
I very rarely shoot at 100 with my target rifles.....

tHE WEB SITE 6MMbr.COM has a fantastic selection of down loadable targets. I printed off a bunch then went to office Depot had them enlarged, or you can leave them as 8 1/2 x 11. There must be at least 10 different target styles that you can down load and print at home. FS
