So I open a new box of .308" 180g Accubonds.
Found a few bullets with what looks like heat marks or maybe just tarnishing.
I dunno. I am sure they are just fine.

What do you think.

Was the box sealed? I bought a few boxes where some bullets were tarnished. I concluded it was from someone handling them, the odd one you could even see part of a finger print.

Should be fine.

Looks like annealing discolouration that wasn't polished out. No big deal, but you could toss them in the vibrator if it bugs you, or use those ones for load work-up, sighters, foulers, offhand practice or shooting in the air to celebrate stuff.

Toss them in a vibratory case cleaner like dogleg said, but the white tips likely won't be as white when they come out.

That happened to the first cases I reloaded, went to the range open the box nothing but tarnished brass and copper. I wear gloves now when reloading, keeps brass and bullets bright, also keeps my hands clean.

I handle all my other bullets and brass. With no gloves. Never had a issue.

Might throw one in the tumbler. See what happens.

I'll just shoot them.
