Tarnished brass from tumbling outside?

I recently tumbled a small amount of brass outside. I don't know the temperature but it was cold and damp. It is 6 degrees Celsius this afternoon and I tumbled the brass two days ago.

The tumbler was undercover on the deck and it was kept dry.

I am using a corn cob/walnut media.

Will brass being tumbled in cold conditions tarnish it?

Has never happened to me. I tumble in my garage which unheated and the temperature in winter varies from +5 to -10C

Tarnish is Oxidation. Simply leaving it exposed to oxygen will tarnish the brass.

It makes no difference when or where it was tumbled.
