That's right...$100 bucks. The reason? He does HOT loads. If the recoil does ruin the scope, it is only $100 bucks gone. Not a $1000 Leupold.

Descent quality scopes will have no issue with handling that sort of recoil. cheaper scopes may end up with issues.

I got that Tasco 6X24X40 for the last 15 years when i buy a new rifle i rarely buy a quality scope at the same time, different stores seing what available, now this scope as been on a 308, a 300 ultra mag , a 300 mag, a 7mm STW, a 270... Not for many shoots maybe 20 to 40 shots on each rifles. When my TC Icon 308 will get here i am putting it on until i buy my new scope. If it fail at the range who care but it is still holding, cheap stuff sometimes suprised you... JP.

I have an old Japanese tasco 3-9 and on my 7rem mag and ist killed 11 moose, although it is time to retire it soon, it has served that rifle well
