Tasco Rifle Scopes

But Tasco was just bought out by Bushnell. Hopefully some of the newer production models are benefiting form Bushnell's better quality control?

I must admit though, I am tempted by the a 2.5x10X Mil-dot scope from Tasco. The next scope with that specific configuration is at least 900 bucks. I am looking to put an optic on my new M14S from Norinco. Cheap scope for cheap gun? Is this logic working here?

Had a Tasco Titan now for 6 years without any problem. It is every bit as clear as my two leupolds VXIII .Believe it or not.

I bought a new 4x Tasco way back, mail order from the States. It went on a 22/250 and no other rifle. One trip to the range and then I took it on a week long hunt away from home. On the first day of the hunt it rained hard. One the second day of the hunt the scope was too fogged to use.
In order to get a refund I had to ship back at my cost. All I got back was the sticker price for the scope .I was out the cost of shipping both ways and the duty.
Tasco igonored my letter about this situation, and I take every opportunity to spread the good word about Tasco and their customer service.

That strange, I bought a World Class 4X wide angle back in the early 80s & musta shot a billion rounds thru it. Finally put it on a Ruger #3 45-70 with FULL bore loads & the rifle spit it of against a rock:redface:
I sent it to Toronto for warranty as it was fuzzy after that, & recieved it back in with-in two weeks postage paid :) , it has since been on a few rifles, in rain, hail, sleat & snow & is one scope I would never sell, It's perfectly clear, has a lots of FOV & is totally reliable :)

That said I haven't heard much good about the new generation of Tasco's:(

No doubt there are many thousands of Tascos out there giving good service, but my biggest beef was not with the product as much as the customer service non-responce I received after mine failed. This was in the late 80s, so things may have changed since, but I will never use them again to find out.
