Before the whole pro/anti taurus BS starts, please do a search on the subject. A lot of us have one and like them and a lot of us aren't impressed with Taurus customer service.

Don't have one, never had one, but the Taurus 1911 is about the only Taurus that I would consider owning.

I have a PT1911..if any parts go south, I'd be replacing them with one of the multitude of quality aftermarket parts manufacturer's parts before I look to factory Taurus stuff. Its a 1911; what's to worry about?

+1 with Beltfed...a 1911 is a 1911. And there is a lot of parts for them!

Yeah, thats what I was thinking too. I really like the looks of a couple of the new models they have to offer.

I have a stainless PT1911...well worth the money! Only thing I did to it is replaced the factory grips with something cooler and have Novak sights on the way (newer ones will some with Novaks from now on!). I'm quite happy with it, it's a great, fine looking gun!
