Any of you have personal experiences with these?

I've done some interweeb research and I'm about the do this as my next pistol purchase.

I've shot one at the range, so looking for some long term ownership experiences moreso than "how it shoots".

I have one. No reliability issues at all (1911 that actually works ;)), good sights (novak's), nice trigger, IMO it's a best 1911 for under a $1000.

I have to say I've been considering selling mine though in the future. :( I have a G29 on order and an M4 in the next couple of months and I don't know if I can justify keeping it.
 
Where can one get a Taurus 1911 besides Ellwood Epps? I think I'd be interested in possibly purchasing one and than getting a conversion kit to go on top.
