Taurus 24/7

I see P&D has received a shipment of Taurus 24/7's in 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP for about $600 base price. Anybody tried these?

I've only handled one... it looked like a decent little gun, but the grip was too a little small for me.

There was a video on Taurus website about the gun as it was NRA 2005 gun of the year. They did 10,000 round torture test with 0 malfunctions

$600 is a very good price IMO; I've seen them for $750...

Edit:if it's a PRO version it's a DA/SA (vs DAO) so it has the restrike capability

I understand that they are a fantastic little gun according to US postings. They did have all sorts of problems with the 45acp versions initially(jammomatic) but discovered that it was due to a mag design problem and has since been rectified, altho there are some early ones still floating around. Anything with the serial prefix NZG and later incorporates the new mag design for the 45. I am hoping to pick up both the 40 and 45acp in the spring as there is a small modification to the current design which I am seeking. In the interim I too would love to hear about them from current owners. I know TSE had some earlier and more are coming along with some other surprising goodies. I am really looking forward to seeing the Taurus OSS which is on their website but we sont see trickle in to Canada until next year and after its debut at the Shot Show in Miami (Jan).
