Taurus 608 trigger job

Hi there fellow CGN'ers,

Has anyone done a trigger job on this pistol before?? I picked up one of these used at a great price and I would like to lighten up the trigger a bit. I have put a rail on it and topped it off with a scope for longer range steel ringing. The only thing I can find an issue with aside from the finish is the trigger.

Any ideas??

That's odd. I had a 608 & I sure wouldn't want the trigger any lighter for sure ! Mine had a very light trigger from the factory. Here is something to think about before you go messing around with it,... ...When you pull the trigger & If you have a Stout load of 357,...the gun is gonna jump and if the trigger is to light,...your finger may flinch ever so slightly & the gun is going to go off a 2nd time,.....something you don't want ! take a look at the video-

Take it to a gun smith for a trigger job?

unless you can order a lighter mainspring somewhere.
