I haven't handled the 809SS
BUT
I own a 24/7 G2 SS. I love the gun, not a single malfunction. Handles very well, comfortable, reliable. The DA/SA double strike I love too.
If you are looking into the 809SS, I reccomend you check the 24/7G2, as it is a more recent design that supposedly combines all the good things from a couple different designs, including the 809 series.
