Taurus model 66

I have a Taurus model 66 in .357 arriving this week and was wondering what your opinion is on it.

Years ago i had a satin finish one. It may have been nickel plated, I think. Nice revolver for the price. nothing wrong with them. Put a lot of full power loads through it.

Probably american sites, but this will get you started... Probably the shorter barrel though. Lots of info out there.

I have one, and the S&W version, too.

The Taurus is a bit crude in finish and the trigger is not as crsip as the S&W. Sights work ok but for some reason the sight picture is not as good as with the Smith.

But for the price, a good deal.

I handled one a few years ago. it seemed alright. I like their .44 and .454 Raging Bull line better however. But if you didn't overpay they're good deal for the money.

I bought one this spring, seems good so far. I wasn't crazy about the matte finish so I used Mothers mag wheel polish and a rag to polish the stainless, surprising how well it turned out.
