taurus raging bull experiences

Before you buy anything by Taurus, do a check on the availability of parts and warranty....I am always hearing from people on other forums, and people who I know that have Taurus`s that getting parts in Canada is extremely difficult....If things have changed, that`s fine, but it`s best to check first and save yourself possible headache`s......

Taurus Raging Bull
I can only speak from personal experience. I own several Taurus hanguns presently (and several others over the years) including a SS Raging Bull. I have found them to be reliable and accurate. The one time I needed warranty service was with a PT-92. I called Taurus in Miami and sent it to them. About nine weeks later I got it back repaired, cleaned and shined. This was three years ago. It was expensive shipping it as it has to go via courier (I don't think you are allowed to send firearms through the USPS
). I would go ahead and buy one if you so desire. My only caution is a 44Magnum is alot of gun to start with-you probably should use 44 Special at first. Although my Raging Bull has a ported barrel and recoil is not that severe. Hope this helps and good luck.

I think you would be better off getting either an S&W or Ruger. Either brand has a lower incidence of lemons and better parts/repair availability.
The S&W is my choice for a maximum of 240 grain bullets at around 1200-1300 fps, as they have nicer actions, are better balanced, and are sleeker looking. If you want to go heavier than that in terms of bullet weight and/or velocity, the Ruger is the way to go, as they are stronger.

Import/ Export Issues?
How about sending firearm to USA for warranty repairs?
Any export/ import rules and paperwork that you had to fill up or apply for?
Have you declared on package that firearm was inside?

How about sending firearm to USA for warranty repairs?
Any export/ import rules and paperwork that you had to fill up or apply for?
Have you declared on package that firearm was inside?

Just an ATT to send it down, and I had to send another ATT to Taurus along with a copy of my registration certificate and a copy of my PAL for its return. No I did not declare it as a firearm....would you label a Rolex as such if you were shipping it???? I think not. I did clearly mark the package with attention to US Customs and Canada Border Services that documentation was enclosed for inspection as required. It was opened going down, but to the best of my knowledge, not coming back (no CBS Tape or declaration that it was opened for inspection). The only caution I received was when I applied for my ATT that if it was a prohib, 12(6), it would not be allowed back into Canada. As I said, this was 2007 (maybe 2006-my memory is not what it used to be), so the regs may have changed completely....should have mentioned that in my earlier reply to Martinjozwa-sorry
Just bought a Raging Bull SS 44 magnum 8 3/8 barrel from a dealer here on the forum(Cedar Valley hunting supplies) 2 weeks ago and put 50 rounds of factory ammo with no issues what so ever. Accurate, Reliable and Cheap to purchase (accept the ammo)compared to others out there.
