Hey gang,
So ive been slowly gathering some new types of ammo for my ammo review part 2, ill be ramping it up in the next month or so scouring the lower mainland for the weird exotic stuff.

Same Tavor setup as before, elcan specter dr, stock trigger. The barrel has seen maybe 1000 rounds more than last time. (for part 1 go here http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...Tavor-ammo-review?highlight=tavor+ammo+review)

I will try to replicate the same shooting setup as before, as in just like this:

But this time I'll include a little twist, I'll shoot the exact same ammo with my Colt AR and post those results for comparison. The colt is a 6920 with a Browe 4x, timney 667s trigger, free float NSR and a dynacomp extreme.

So heres the list
AE 55 grain black box
Hornady zmax 55 grain
Nosler Varmageddon 55 grain
Hornady superformace 55 grain
Hornady superformance varmint 53 grain
Hornady vmax 55 grain
Hornady superformance match 556 BTHP 75 grain
AE 556 62 grain xm855

I was thinking of , maybe doing a side by side comparison with my AR on the same ammo? would that be interesting? optics would not be the same though, elcans are too expensive to get 2 of the same.

Tried some of the ammo, pictures are up on post 1
zmax and vmax still the best out of the bunch, but strangely enough the 62 grain xm855 seems to be the most consistent even on the 4th group when the barrel was hot.

Still not done, I still have some ammo to shoot, I'll be up there again in 2 weeks for half a day.

Ill be up at the range again on March 6th and March 20th, after that I'll be pretty much busy until June.

But again Im very happy with the performance of zmax and vmax on a cold barrel. This would definately be a very good coyote rifle.

I would send you some PMC 62grain LAP as I seem to get my best results with this ammo and it is very consistent in all my 556 rifles with a 1/7 twist.

Since the Tavor is 5.56mm mil spec I picked up a box of 5.56mm Hornady Superformance Match 75 gr BTHP to try out in my Tavor and see how that performs over .223 ammo.

Yah I have a box of that, ill try it in 2 weeks. But my experience with heavy bullets has mot been good so far.

Did you have the same point of aim on all of the different targets? It seems to me from ammo to ammo your MPI is moving around - seems a little much if you are shooting at 100m
