Tavor and Glock MALFUNCTION - Frog LUBE

breakfree clp. just cause the fumes gets the wife horny. reminds her when I was more fit as the c9 section gunner in the CF.

I don't understand what all the issues are. I've used LPS, motoroil, Fireclean, and Frog lube. I've had no issues with any of my guns ever. If PROPERLY lubed and cleaned you shouldn't have any issues no matter what flavor you choose. It's not the lube it's the applicant. I personally prefer FL as it is super easy to clean up after a trip to the range. The original heating and soaking is for the first application. After that it's like any other CLP.

Tried the snake oil. Even put it on properly. Still had issues. Not over lubed at all.

Ballistol works perfectly and doesn't require silly heating of parts.

I've used Frog Lube on three firearms for a couple years now, never do the heating thing, and have never had issues.
Exactly I fail to see where using frog lube takes 4 hours, if anything after putting 500 rds or so down range it was faster cleaning with froglube, really no difference. You don't have to heat up frog lube either, that is another myth, makes me wonder how many people actually used the stuff. As far as I'm concerned it fairs better to all previous oils I have used and I like it much better, its not toxic or cancerous and the minty smell is nice but would rather it be less pungent.

Same here, so far so good. I'm not a FL fanboy, I was out of general cleaner so I picked up a tub to give it try, so far I like it next time I might try whatever is the "in" thing at the time. I don't understand the "hatred" for FL? If you prefer something else that's fine, why all the slamming? Obviously lots of people like it and it works for them.

I use durex or ky because my tavor likes it that way

Jk I only use frog lube. I know it's over priced and my guns don't function in the cold but all the internet commandos use it so I must as well now excuse me while I clean my oakleys

That's what I'm getting tired of is all the prep work, don't get me wrong, it's a great product and I've never had a problem with it. But it takes me about 4 hours to disassemble, degrease, heat, lube, wipe and reassemble. I've just switched to Ballistol and I am quite enjoying it so far, except my whole basement smells like black licorice.

Best description of Ballistol odour - "Smells like the puck in a truck stop urinal". Read right here on CGN .....

I find it incredible how many lube threads there are on this site. The machines we use are not under that much pressure, just about anything will do the job. There was a discussion in the other lube thread about different brands of motor oil. Like it makes any difference. These lube threads are complete circle jerks. Go shoot your guns.

No Froglube for me. I have over 5 Gallons of MPRO7 and bottles of weaponshield as lubricant. No heating involved and it works just fine.

Frog Lube is great for AR and Glock, Once applied according to instruction, you won't need to redo it again in a long run. my AR and Glock 17 has seen 2000 rounds each, only cleaning I did is wipe it off and apply a thin coat of frog lube. That's all.

Yes, G96 is great for bolt action.

Yes, I'm lazy to apply frog lube as well but it works as advertise, that's why G96 is pretty much to go lube on my bolt action, SKS and shotgun.

As long as it isn't WD-40 :p

You can use smegma and it will work ! But Frog Lube works better as all such products do.

Thanks for the truth, an often assaulted virtue here.

Frog lube works extremely well in warm weather, if you need your gun in the cold, don't use it. My handguns are soooo much easier to clean, no carbon build up with frog lube. My semi-auto shotgun malfunctioned a lot in -5 degree weather so i stick to oil based for hunting. Like others have said almost anything will work in warm weather in a pinch but what I like is not having to scrub out build up inside my guns after shooting them A LOT.

use whatever product you like and remember that too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. I prefer spray molybdenum machining dry lube in arid regions and clp lightly applied anywhere else
