Hi All,
I've had another odd idea and am hoping cgn might know the answer.

Are there any retailers in Canada or the US selling barrels or complete BCG's for the Tavor? I know IWI shut down North Sylva on the barrels for the forseable future as they're otherwise occupied, and so far haven't seen much for sale in the states... seems support and spare parts for the tavor's pretty minimal - and current suppliers or potential near future suppliers out there?

Lots of parts hoarding are completely unnecessary imho. A lot of it is way overdone and habit from the days when the market was flooded with ar15s of questionable quality.

I have a TAVOR myself. I see no reason of stocking extra bolts and other things. Chf Bbl lasts for 10,000 to 20,000 rounds. I see no reason to have 600 bucks sitting in the drawer collecting dust. When the barrel dies, there probably a new version out there I want to buy and it is better to use the barrel money for the new version.

I have a bunch of ar parts sitting around. They just collect dust. I have never broken a 556 firing pin or lost a bolt lug. The only things that need change are gas rings, and fire controls parts after over 20,000 cycles. It is totally not worth the money to stock expensive parts, unless you have a "fleet" of rifles to take care of.

That's very true in regards to spare parts. I'm working on a design and would like a basic platform to work off of so I don't have to go through the hassle of turning blanks, finding/altering barrel extensions etc etc etc etc. Easier to start with a basic solid design and change the parts I would like to be different. Tavor has many of the design aspects I'd like to mimic, so it's a natural starting point. Unfortunately it's also hard to get parts for :p

Most of the parts you see in the states are produced in Israel by IWI. This includes barrels. I am more confident we will see GHW .300BLK kit before we see NS bring in barrels it seems.

Hmm... and importing via the states would be a no-go?

If you feel you need spare parts North Sylva can get them. I bought $150 worth of bits and pieces, some of which I've used, some of which I just like having.

But you don't want US barrels. Installing them would mean re-registering your Tavor!
