Tavor - December shipment

On Canadian soil as in in CBSA hands or in CanAm's hands?

When they said "We have 'em..." I immediately asked, "How long will it take you guys to ship 'em out..." To which I was told, "A while..."

Cheers
Jay
P.S. My Birthday is the 29th of Jan... I'd LOVE to have my Tavor to open on my birthday, that would be SWEET!!!:dancingbanana:

Any word on the bipod style? Or which rail(s) came with the rifles? Are they ready to ship? Do the mags need to be pinned yet? CanAm? Anyone?

The fastest way to get our rifles is to be patient. I hope this does not offend anyone, but I hope everyone posting "is it here yet, what kind of bipod is it" is not also phoning or emailing Canada Ammo asking them questions. Say there were 200 tavors in this order, and each person who ordered one made only one short 2.4 minute call at some time to see when it was coming - that would mean that they would lose 8 man hours that could have been used for getting caught up on packing and sending guns instead of answering the phone. One entire working day! I had to contact them recently about which model I was going to get, because when I placed my order in early 2008 there were no options. Due to when I placed my order, and the fact that I paid in November, my rifle will be one of the first ones out the door. I will post here when I first get word the rifle is on the way. We are all excited about the tavor, but please keep this in mind before pestering them!

I asked this before, but nobody knows what size of threading is on the tavor muzzle?

I was about to post similar.

Instead of rumour, speculation, drama fueling more of the same...Canada Ammo could simply place a simple "catch-all" thread here.

This will potentially eliminate every telephone call, email or rumour. His five minutes would save them many hours of individual responses.

How's about it fellas? :)

Nope, not calling (yet) as I too don't want them on the phone instead of lovingly wrapping mine in brown paper as it goes on its merry way.

However, and I really don't want this to sound like I'm bashing or whining (much), one post from CanAm could stop most of the questions. but then I suppose we'd think of something new to ask, or complain about the answers, so maybe it's better this way. :)

As to the muzzle threading it is the same as an AR.

And I believe that is why they have not posted yet.

I believe that the majority of us would be pleased and content with a simple confirmation and an estimated itenerary.

There are a few however, that likely would not and an answer would become more questions. Sigh...

For those who understand ...

"Elvis has left the building ...." and "The pigeons are in the roost, repeat, the pigeons are in the roost ..." :D

Is this where the family huddles around the radio to listen to messages like,"John has a long mustache."?

Should we have a poll, Who will be the first to get their Tavor?

I know who will be the first.... The guy that calls the least!!

"Jay has a long mustache."

And I shaved it off once I found out the Tavor's had arrived. Huntress was happy, but I've been freezing my upper lip off on the walk to & from work!!!

Huntress was pestering me about getting rid of my mustache, so being a bit of a smarta$$, I told her "I'll shave it when my Tavor comes in..." (Keeping in mind the delays associated with the T97 fiasco, not CanAm's fault, let's place that blame where it belongs, with the RCMP FRT# "removal squad"...)

All that to say, I thought I'd get to keep my mustache a little longer, but, alas, it was not to be... ha ha ha

Cheers

P.S. CanAm, my birthday is Jan.29th... Any chance your gonna make my day memorable? Ya Baby YA!

WhooHoo!!! I just checked my order status at CanadaAmmo, and absolutely nothing has changed! Now I don't have to worry about driving to town to check the mail tomorrow. :D

I had a 'stache for 16 years. At that point I had to either shave it or buy it a car. Goodbye mustache, hello frozen upper lip is right.

End of the month? Schiesse!

I guess one more month won't hurt, considering I've been waiting for a non restricted bullpup since mid '08. Thanks again to those Dickheads in the RCMP A division for their games.

Canam- a true thank you for bringing cool toys for us to buy, and if the type 97s are released, I'll buy one of those too.

Tavor will be shipped out by end of the month.

Hopefully the Olympic Security Zone around my home isn't up and running until after my Tavor arrives.

Early on, I decided to have the Tavor sent to my office so that I could sign for it if need be. I typically walk home from my office in the evening. I wonder how unpleasant it would be if someone politely say's "open the box, please" as I try to walk through a checkpoint on my way home. Somehow, if that were to happen, I just don't see the whole process being a quick and efficient formality...

The threading is the same as any AR-15 rifle. I know because I switched my AR's phantom flash hider for the Tavor's birdcage.
I'm sure Canam has also mentioned this somewhere.
