Tavor FAQ (updated 08 December, 2008)

It doesn't fit inside the hole though. sticks out a wee bit but works great:

It's better that it sticks out. The swivel won't scratch the stock. I will order one and the iwi front qd mount. I've read that having the rear mount on right side and front on left works best for handling.

The IWI US front QD mount requires modification to Israeli made Canadian Tavor's in order to fit. Expect to dremel, drill, and file metal and polymer.

Well boys and girls. I forked out the cash and bought the Geissele super sabra trigger pack and lightening bow trigger. I installed it yesterday. Was a bit of a pain as I didn't have the barrel wrench so had to make one. I will definetly buy one as it is a must for this rifle.

Also. Thank god I had a small enough Allen wrench as the screw on the trigger is tinny. It is a huge difference over stock. I did not do any adjusting of the trigger. It has some take up then a crisp break.

I'm not sure if I should take it apart and maybe adjust it some. It has about a quarter inch take up until it hits the wall, then breaks really clean.

Here is a pic of my Brand new Tar 21. In the early stages of accessorizing. More to come :)

So I had this issue today with my tavor. I had put about 60 rounds through it, then my trigger would sporadically not reset. That was about once every 5 rounds. After about 20 rounds my trigger would not reset at all. I had to either flip the safety on and of or pull the trigger several times. The rifle only has max 5000 or so rounds through it. Any ideas?

Yea as much as I would love to, I can't afford a trigger pack, I already have the geisele bow though. Good enough for me. Anybody have any input?

Yup. If you put the bow in, you need to readjust the screw in the bow that removes the slack. With the factory trigger you'll not be able to take out all the slack or the trigger won't reset. If you do buy the Geissele trigger pack one day, you can adjust that screw to take out pretty much all the slack, but for now, strip the riffle down and put some slack back in. I was able to removed the barrel, put the upper plastic and charging handle back on, bolt assembly in, trigger pack in. Rack the bolt, dry fire and adjust with the allen key. When I found the prefect setting, put the while riffle back together. (Remember: never turn the barrel lock with the charging rod in place)

On that sounds pretty simple. I have had the bow in for about 1000 rounds now. Maybe I didn't lock tight that slack adjustment screw enough and it backed out? Thanks for your help.
