Tavor FAQ (updated 08 December, 2008)

How much of a pain in the ass is the bow trigger to put in? Does the barrel have to come out?
If a person only bought one, wich would improve the trigger pull more?

The barrel does need to come out for the bow. I would say the trigger pack does more, but only if you have the bow. If you are only getting one or the other, get the bow to start. Basically, if you only update the hammer pack, you will only enjoy <50% of the hammer packs improvement beca use you are still squeezin it with mushy take up.

I did only the bow. I have very little experience assembling/disassembling firearms and it is not a problem. Need a special barrel wrench.

I put one on mine and ya you need to remove the barrel but with I put it in too easy I thought I might have did it wrong or something I checked and rechecked about 500 times to make sure because I figured it would have been harder and being a gun I didnt want a malfunction

ARRRGH! You bashtart!
I just ordered a bunch of parts from LMC truck last night, and now this comes up.
I'm going to get in trouble!
I've been missing my Timmeny trigger pull since I sent it back. I was making due with the bow, and stock trigger because of the price to replace it.
Ordered.
Thanks.

Dang it, now I have to get a trigger pack and bow on the way too.. My credit card is still on fire from the great deal on the Tavor I picked up from Durham. And the light, and pressure switch.. And rail...

Does the tavor come with the barrel tool to remove it? If it not where do you buy it.

Also how often do you guys remove the barrel to clean the thing?

aaaand also lol, is there a special tool to remove the trigger in order to drop in a new bow? Or can a regular punch achieve this?

Look up tavor wrench, there's a few people who make them out of allen keys, if you dont want to make one yourself.

Almost never. Maybe to de-gunk the gas tube once a year but that's not necessary.

Anyone with info on how to remove the buttpad to install the new one from Manticore. Watched numerous videos on how to do it, but no way in H-E-L-L it the screws will loosen for me.......what am I missing?
