After a bunch of tinkering, I finally decided on a combination for my Tavor... Just in time for fall season...:)

The EoTech co-witnesses with the B.U.P.S., and it's just a little lower than center of the optic. Mostly has to do with the raised profile caused by the ARMS system...sorry for the cellphone photos...

and a couple rail shots...

It's a great combination for my inside of 150 meter shooting...

Cheers all

Very nice setup. I am looking at getting a Tavor and I would like to use my Eotech 511 on it with a 4x Magnifier do you thing that would fit on the rail you have? Do you know if the rails can be ordered larger?

which rail is that? I've looked at the one that Dlask offers, and I have heard good things about it. Canadammo is offering one as well that looks very similiar. I also have an EOtech 511 that I would like to mount but want a mount that will hopefully allow co-witness with the BUIS.

Thanks! The EoTech 511 is a fair amount shorter than the triple nickel, but I still don't think there'd be enough room on the rail for the sight and a magnifier. The B.U.P.S. (backup plastic sight) is integral to the gas tube, and would definitely get in the way of a magnifier. I think that CanadaAmmo can get you a different gas tube that doesn't incorporate the rear flip up sight... That may be your best option...

The rail I'm currently using is the Dlask Arms model... Incredibly well made and the lowest rail I have. It co-witnesses with the 555 but in the lower 1/3 of the optics window. But my EoTech is taller than the 511 so it may be dead on for you. I also have a rail from CanadaAmmo (999 rail) and it is beautiful in its construction - laser etched as well... it is a few millimeters taller than the Dlask and would probably co-witness with your 511 - just a little lower in the window... which is fine for me, as I prefer a shooting platform that's more "heads up"...

The front sight just hits the EoTech by a smidge, and the rear won't deploy with the magnifyer.

Ohh well, it comes off in two seconds.

Depends how you look at it... They'll set you back about as much as a crate of SKS... You just have to decide what you'll enjoy the most ;)

Tavor $3420
Eotech 552 $500
Magnifier $400
Dlask Mount $166
Riser $100
Streamlight $190
------------------
$4776

PRICELESS!

Are you for real?
I don't get the question. Are you assuming that everyone knows everything?

I know that these are non-restricted, but it looked like it took AR-15 mags, and I'm pretty new to the Restricted side of things, though if I get this kind of bu775h17 response every time I ask a newbie question, I don't see it being worth my while.

I'm assuming I just didn't see right...

EDIT: I've picked up the answer from other people's posts. Thanks.
