So I bought a Tavor (nib) last week, took it out to the range today....and I was quite impressed I must say. I'm a C8 armourer, operator, and instructor... I've used platforms from FN to AK over the years, and I must say...wow the Tavor is a great little gun. Reminded me of the AUG days.
Anyway my thanks to the government is for the tax refund:) they bought me a rifle ha ha!!!
Don't get me wrong I'm still gonna be using C8's (cause I have too, which is fine) but this Tavor will be a nice new fun gun to use ;)

Any other Tavor guys out there let me know of any tweaks for it, or are you just running it stock?

Thanks fellas,
Cheers,
BK

Because as far as I know the Americans don't make 18.5" barrels.

100% disagree...

The IWI USA website even lists them as 18.5" barrels:

https://iwi.us/product/tavor-x95-5-56-nato-w18-barrel/

I had the same question in an IRG sub thread, and they told me that the USA IWI "18.5" x95" are restricted, which to me is ridiculous and doesn't make any sense given the IWI (Israeli-made) 18.5" is NR.

wtf

I'm partial to the RPM handguard on Tavors. I know the factory one is designed for the "six points of contact" hold but I could never get used to it—the RPM handguard really changes the feel for the better for me. I like it with or without a foregrip. I think he's doing extended ones now as well as M-Lok

That looks decent. I stuck again with the factory one and just added a tavor rail along with Tango down foregrip. Plus I like that I can wire in a tactical light pressure button into the stock tavor button on the left side. Light on the right side, button on the left.
