Tavor, impressions

You missed the point of the video posting! It's not about the 13 year old commentator. It's about the PRICE TAG at the end: $1189.00. That is dealer cost and the price was shown at a DEALER ONLY event. It will likely sell in Canada for under 2k. The Keltec isn't perfect, it's just a better value, in my mind. I'll leave it at that.

I hear ya bro but unless the importer is willing to go through the process as a sheer act of kindness then I would expect the price to be $2500+. Your forgetting about all the costs involved in getting firearms out of the US these days. Everything from export permits to the RCMP have to be satisfied.

The first shipment to make it into Canada will probably be a small lot and it will all be presold at a premium price. Someone will order two and put one on the EE for 50% more then what he paid and then two years later the price will be reasonable. Meanwhile affordable 7.62x51 will still be a dream.

The price is in US money. It means absolutely nothing to anyone in Canada.

Come back when you know at least the basics about the Canadian firearms market.

Keltec RFB looks pretty good but its still in its infancy, don't think that I'm slamming it for any reason. I see one significant RFB downside and that is the caliber, I'm gonna wanna shoot a lot of ammo through one and that is gonna cost a lot of money :D.

All that aside its important to understand that Tavors are proven and they're here. I've done my fair share of shooting especially rifle and I can tell you that the Tavor is very impressive. Out of the box optics are iffy but thats all about to change anyhow :D.

Anyone who complains about the Tavor price is a bit out to lunch. Yea its pricy but damn its a fine gun. Its less then a new PE90 and IMHO a better firearm. Balance is much much better, control-ability is much better and I would hazard to say that it may be more durable. Keep in mind you have the downrange performance of a longer barrel from a M4 length rifle, whats not to like?

We can talk about the could be RFBs and T97s all day long but in the end it don't matter cause the Tavor is something you can have and I kinda doubt you'll be passing it on once you have one. I've been watching the EE for about a year and I think I've seen one or maybe two up for sale.

That is extremely unlikely.
