Tavor newbie

hey guys so im picking up a gen 2 tavor this sunday for one heck of a deal, because of this i havent put my usual months upon months of window shopping, reading and kicking around the bush lol. do i need to own rifle calibre pistol (micro xcr i believe?) to buy those 10 round mags? or do they even fit? if not whats best mags to get for a tavor?? i tried searching but came up empty handed. also my first black rifle if i have caused you guys to facepalm as im sure its been asked or well argued before.

Any Lar 10 mags are fine, Beowulf work as well. Great gun I love mine!

Hey congrats on your new purchase!

Buy a couple of LAR mags for fun. But if you can dig up a beowulf mag: that's the real way to shoot.

As far as pistol mags go, my vote would be ATRS. They are out of stock now, but more to come soon.

I have 3 of those and they sure are built cheap...Why can't most canadian companies build decent quality stuff.

Not to nit pick, but its PCV for Press Check Ventures, not PVC as in plastic. Just wanted to clear that up to help avoid further confusion of those just finding out about those mags.

Yeah and they aren't cheap... almost 3 x the amount of a PMAG and 10x less quality. Oh well..not much else to choose from.

I own 6 of those and they work well enough in my ar and in my tavor but do feel a bit flimsy, but running 14 rounds makes up for the flimsy feel, i will probably not buy more.
I also own 12 of the atrs magazines, those work flawless in both platforms and feel just as good as a pmag, i will buy more.

the reason is that we don't run enough sales volume to get quality molds, quality plastic, quality springs, and quality design engineers. magpul sells a whole lot more magazines than a small new brunswick company targeting the Canadian market only, due to our unique circumstance of gun laws.
When magpul makes a 5 round beowolf pmag, this problem will be solved.

Perfect. Was worried was gonna have to wait for these. Gonna get couple pcv Beowulf's even if aren't best quality 14 rounds plus they should tide me over until the atrs come out. Are there better quality Beowulf out there? I'm just curious as the round count really tickles my fancy.
