Just got back from shooting my 'new-to-me' Tavor. Bought from a great guy on CGN.

After establishing '0' on paper, I had fun ringing the 8" 100m, 18" 150m and 24" 200m gongs at will - prone and/or sitting. A long mag makes a good monopod off my shooting mat.
I don't expect more from a CQB carbine and can't do much better with my AR 15 that has a much better trigger. I can foresee a TAV-D trigger in my future .....
 
Tavor was my first rifle, and it is still my favorite!

I have the geissele trigger pack and trigger bow in mine and they are AMAZING. Even if you don't get the geissele trigger pack, I would highly recommend getting the trigger bow to go along with whatever pack you get.
 
Glad you like it, make sure and utilize the Israeli style of bracing on your forearm - a lot of people negate this but I found it really helps stability, even prone.
 
Where have you guys mounted your red dot sights?

I found that in order to remove the red 'halo' when I had the intensity cranked up, I had to locate the sight centred above the trigger pivot pin. That's a little odd compared to my AR 15, but now I can crank it up and the 'halo' ring is gone. Don't have any trouble with acquisition, etc.

From what I've seen on the net, there doesn't seem to be any cut & dried location; whatever works.

Found out that a shooting glove with rubberized 'grippies' in the palms and fingers helps a lot with 'gription'. Saves wear and tear on my hide in the bargain.
