What do people recommend for optics on these?

I have astigmatism and eotechs don't work well for me.

Right now I am looking at the mepro MOR optic. Reviews are hard to find on it and I havent heard of anyone sending tritium sights back to mepro when a recharge is needed.

Also considering an elcan specter 4x.

At this point looking for something around $1000 in the next 6 months...not sure if i want to start magnified or with red dot then add magnified or x1 / backup reflex as needed.

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

It would mainly be used for plinking.

Regardless of what people say on internetz, Tavor is 4MOA rifle. You will shoot it unsupported most likely, that's where Tavor shines, bench shooting is PITA.

I tried DR 1-4x, Trj 3.5x and Mepro.

I did not like my Mepro, it has large CQB reticle, but it did not have the astigmatism halo effect of Eotech. Aimpoint dot looks like a star for me too.

DR 1-4x is good, but it's north of 2K and depending on your face you might need a pic rail riser.

Thanks for the feedback. I would love a specter DR...may have to try a few of the red dots before buying.

Not looking to benchrest this rifle...mainly for quick plinking 25 to 200m if I can shoot that well.

Meprolight MOR is mainly for the laser and IR, if you don't need that, get a M21 or RDS. If magnification is required, could add a M3X or M3X-F. I have to say, everything in the US are so cheap, for the same thing I mentioned above you only need to pay at most half of the price crossing the border.

You can probably do better with your budget, but I highly recommend people check out the Vortex 3x Spitfire with the 556B reticle for that caliber. Its eye relief may be difficult to get right on the x95, but I was beyond impressed for the price.
