Tavor soft case design ideas

We are currently in the process of designing a soft case for the Tavor

I am looking for ideas from owners

Here is what we have so far:

- rectangular low profile design
- 4 internal mag pouches
- molle or velcro field for add-ons (which?)
- external and internal flat pockets for docs, etc
- external ID window
- padded divider between gun and mags/accessories

Do you prefer a velcro handle wrap-around, or without

Material preference? Black Cordura is my first choice

Yes, the two zipper will come together, and can be padlocked.

Been looking for a case. Near impossible due to height.
Keep it simple with cost in mind - I'm still got guns to sell to make up for cost.
Also try to make it inconspicuous.
External ID window??????

a little window for a card, or name tag, etc.

Cost will be under $100

Yes, most will not be changing bbls in the field.
I hope the molle/velcro will address the need for special sized sight cases, etc.

For me a hard case is too bulky when I have lots of gear. Also much heavier if being carried.

agreed, and a case to me is simply for transport. Not hitting the two way range so a hard case is more appealing. THat said, definitely interested in seeing the final product

I'm using a rectangular guitar case currently. It's a bit long though.

Pay attention to where you place the handles. Make sure it balances, all the wieght is in the rear.
I'd be in for one for sure!

The handles will be in the centre. The balance depends on mags, accessories, etc., as well as which way you put the gun, or the bbl length.

well... make the mag pouches external.... with velcro flaps this will eliminate the extra internal divider (saves some cash), molle external, screw the ID window - who really uses it anyways, Yes you need a handle - I dont need velcro on the handle....

black shows dirt... go with a dark grey/black/brown digital camo..... a thick material....

I bought a sling a while back the nylon was cheep and velcro was anemic..... totally useless... if your making something, make it actually rugged not just look & sound tough.

I am sure Levy's here in Canada could make the case for you, leaving good profit for you and still being around $100.00, plus made in Canada. As for the brass catcher, The 3 bucc inc. one for a flat top AR (on this one the two mount pins are close together) works with just a bit of work to extend the included adaptor, to put the brass catch back enough to catch the brass. Have a look and see what you think, probably cheaper to just make an adaptor to use the existing catcher then a whole new "deal-E-O".

I have asked them to quote. Their plain jane rifle case is $62, but we'll see what they come back with.

Black or grey 1000D cordura, velcro outside for patches. PALS webbing internal on each end for mag pouches. A smaller outside pouch that can fit around 6 mags would be ideal also.
You can pad the inside with soft velcro, this can also serve as protection and attach stuff.

Carry handle in the center, with reiniforced PAL loops to make it into a optional backpack or side carry bag.

Make it long enough to fit a fold down CZ858, and you have a winner.
