Shooting around, possibly.
Shooting from, maybe not.
My current shooting style from a structure is to extend and lock my support side arm, and push the palm of my hand against whatever it is I'm using for support and grip my extended handguard with my thumb/index finger.
This gives me all kinds of stability for long shots or shooting small objects like clays or something.
If kneeling, I do the same but my support side knee is on the ground and the other is up so I can rest my shooting side elbow on.
multiple points of contact with the ground, barricade etc, its like I'm shooting from a bench rest.
Without having tried it with a tavor, I don't know how much the short length would hinder my ability to be stable in all the different shooting positions I have come across in competition.
I'm sure you can be competitive with the tavor, at the end of the day it comes down to the shooters abilities.
Just right now, if I was to run the same course of fire with an AR and a Tavor, I'd be faster with the AR.
