Just installed my timney trigger pack and WOW it doesn't even feel like the same gun. The hard gritty pull disappeared with a nice light clean breaking trigger with a very short reset. I still have to field test it of course but thought I would share my preliminary thoughts on it. Match this trigger with the trigger bow and it will be heavenly.

Update time, went out and fired a few quick rounds to see how performance was, overall I am happy but a little confused, therefore would be interested to get some feedback.

First to note, all rounds fired successfully from the gen 3 Pmag which was the majority of the rounds fired and included all types of ammo from Norinco, federal, and reloads. I had 3 problems from lar15 mags for some reason which you will see further down.

Norinco crate ammo, you will notice the primers are quite a bit harder but all successfully fired from Pmag.

Here are the failures, one federal and one Norinco however the primer strike seems consistent with the other pictures. Also you will see one round that has bad case damage, I had a few cartridges being extracted that got caught on the bolt while clambering the new round, so as you can see the round got bent while clambering it as the spent Case got caught on the bolt. I should have took a picture. Anyways these were all from the 2 lar mags I tried. Interesting enough the last time I used the Lars they worked flawless no sure what changed.

I am fairly confident the timney will work great with my pmags but more testing is needed to build more confidence in it.

Other than just a statement about bashing brands I'm concerned with making sure it's just a mag problem, primer strikes look pretty good to me and the trigger does feel spectacular.

This has nothing to do with the trigger pack - it's a mag issue. Did it happen on the first few rounds (perhaps they were tight and didn't seat well)? I'm sure this would have happened if it had been a Geissele trigger pack too.

My Timney has been perfect for me with around 500-600 rounds of various types of ammo now, including PMC, Federal Lake City, American Eagle, and a little Norinco. Strangely, or maybe not so strangely, the only time my Tavor has ever choked was with Norinco ammo. It was like it was underpowered or something, the action would eject the spent case but not strip a new round, or sometimes not eject at all.
