It is the folks at Timney that have HUGELY underestimated the demand for this trigger up north.

My two largest complaints when the Gen 1 Tavor first came was that Meprolight and the trigger. Well, looks like both have been resolved!.

Personally, I cannot imagine anyone who would dislike this and what it does for their own Tavor, but it was well worth the wait.

I will repeat myself lime a 10th time on this topic, even though I was sure I made myself clear.

Brian has done very well. I was a little frusterated with him at first when we missed the March delivery date by a month and he had already taken my money and promised the trigger.

No longer am I upset with Brian, as I got over that, #### happens, he wasn't informed by Timney. Since then he has done a fantastic job of keeping us in the loop with updates and answer all of our questions.

Timney on the other hand has delayed even batch one long enough. Both Batches were initial sopposed to be 1 batch that arrived in early March. Today is May 1st. So there was approximately a 2 month delay.

Now we in the 2nd batch that was a part of the same order as the first is being tossed aside and being delayed by about 5-6 weeks more considering we were to get them 1 week after yours, and two weeks after yours left Timney, ours still have not left.

It will be mid to late June before I see mine.

The boys are right, installation is fairly easy. The trigger pull is significantly lighter. I would disagree with a comment earlier, there IS still a lot of creep here...but it is more on par with a low end sporting rifle than a bostitch nailer like it had originally. Preliminary thoughts so far...? I dunno if this trigger will change things significantly at the bench; but there will be a HUGE improvement for offhand shooting - which is what this thing was made for. This trigger is still weird feeling to me personally but not nearly as bad as it was. I will give it a run tomorrow and we can compare range notes!

Well boys - had my first shooting session with the new trigger and it was less than ideal: the winds were blowing and I was flapping in the breeze! But I did manage to put just under half my shots into a 6" bull at 100 yards offhand. That wind was a bugger! I had to go into the sitting position and that firmed things up really nicely! After that they all went into the black and working the trigger on this gun was as easy as that of any chit house AR! Then the corner of my target tore in the wind and started flapping so I went after the gongs and smacked them all around just as easy as you would with any other gun. This trigger takes the Tavor from being a combat house cleaner to being what I would call a respectable service rifle. I am happy. This trigger will not cure the creep though - that is a function of the linkage and I can't see that changing...but the pull is nice and light and working through the trigger squeeze will be much easier for slow, deliberate shooting from the positions.

She's a winner!
 
I'm curious to see how much the groups shrink. I would love to see a direct comparison. Benched, shooting 5, 5 shot groups with the factory trigger pack, then 5 groups with the Timney.
The factory trigger is heavy, but I could live with it. Unless the groups shrink drastically, I'm not sure it's worth the $400 for me.
 
I hope the rumors aren't true that these trigger packs won't fire Norinco primers. Otherwise this 3 month delay is going to be the least of my problems.
 
I wouldn't worry about it Gorno. There has been a lot of nay-saying about this trigger pack by self proclaimed experts that don't know any better. I heard guys say NOTHING could be done to clean up the trigger on a bullpup - because it's a bullpup! They were full of beans. Then they said it wouldn't fit in our Canadian version of the Tavor because it was made for the Americans' version. Mine installed in minutes. Then there's the fact that all the cool kids have a hate-on for bullpups to begin with!

I don't think the Timney will do much for the 'run-n-gun' crowd that fire at large targets at close range. But it will help the weekend warrior who is confronted by a tricky 200 yard shot on a coyote!
 
i have a 3 pound timney 667s and a mcormick 3.5 pound and they are awesome. 10 rounds in under 2 seconds with a beautifull break for 200 yard gong shots. My stock trigger was 8 pounds lol heavier then the rifle. and ya stop using norc ammo its absolute crap. btw cmc triggers have less creep then timneys and can be 50 dollars cheaper.

Well you have all my groups without the timney trigger in the tavor ammo review thread (http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...Tavor-ammo-review?highlight=tavor+ammo+review), when I'll get the timney trigger i'll shoot the same ammo and we'll get a good comparison that way

I am not worried about it, but thanks for your concern. I have owned and shot enough Norc firearms/ammunition that I have accepted the risks. I am more worried about shooting some people's shoddy reloads.
