My suggestion is find who has Tar-21 and test it out, sometime bullpup is hard to get used to it. I sold my tar-21 and type 97 nsr is because of that. At the end, I grab an AR 15 instead, AR is like the adult lego type.
Beside, restricted status and bullpup design, both are pretty similar. Accuracy, it's depend on what AR 15 you will compare with Tar-21 also person who pull the trigger.

The only thing a Tavor has going for it here is the fact it is non-restricted in Canada.
The only people buying them in the US are those that purchase differing models and makes to fill a hole in a collection.
I had one from the first shipment to Canada and ditched it in short order. YMMV, but it offers no practical advantage to a similarly equipped AR or other rifle of conventional design for more money, while retaining the weight and offering less accuracy than the average AR.
Having said that - when I can, I'll add another to the collection.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't the Tavor the fastest growing non AR platform in the usa right now?

I'd put some reserve on the conclusion, which mention that the Tavor arms the good guys.
The Tavor is used among other army by the Thai army which has recently overthrown the Government, which might be plunging Thailand into civil war more than it already was :-/

Thats what I have been saying, and I may be slightly incorrect in that it is a very broad/general statement, meaning its not really comparing anything.
What I should say is that it has the fastest growing demographic of ownership of a Non AR platform that is competeing in that specific niche market of semi-auto "combat" rifles.

I own both. Ar platforms are easy to customize and have a mountain of accessories to chose from and are a ton of fun to build. They are awesome. Tavor not so much for accessories. And you can't do much for building and customizing them. Canadian Tavor are true mil spec weapons. Ar platforms....some are some are not, depends if you believe what they say. Both platforms cost the same to shoot. They both have 2 totally different ways to manipulate them. And as it was said in a previous post if you shoot them enough you become very good at running them. However.....you cannot run around with AR platforms, in the bush and use them for hunting grouse, deer, varmints, etc. that's the beauty of a Tavor. Damn Kim Campbell for restricting AR's ! In the mean time Tavor will do fine. Tap rack bang works well for these platforms especially if using cheap LAR mags. So far thousands of rounds: Tavor jams - 0, AR platforms - 1. Keep them clean, feed them right.
