As far as I know, the bayonet lug is only on some US models..

Never seen a Canadian X95 with a lug. I believe you're searching in vain.

Bayonet lug was only ever on the American 18 in Model N was actually discontinued from the 18-inch model in the early stages of covid.

Yes, it’s a 5.56 barrel so you can shoot 5.56/.223 without issue. They mark it as “.223” for import purposes..
