Tavors arriving soon

Still nothing for me. Prolly payback for the scepticism I displayed during the last batch of Tavors.

Fine, I'll accept my punishment like a man.....:p

EDIT: Just found a message from Paul at CanAm from last night on my cell. He wants to talk to me about my order. I'll betcha I'm in trouble LOL

Paul wants to tell you that you can't have the railed version you ordered and instead have to take a non-railed version. Apparently they did not get enough of the railed version. I'm in the same boat. Does anyone know where you get the picatinny rail adapter for the mepro-sight?

you can order the ML68803 QC adapter for a Picatinny rail or the ML68004 for the Weaver rail.

Price is $120 + $15 S&H. You can place the order by calling Kimber USA direct at (914) 909-1941

You definitely have some communications issues in your outfit. I called and specifically asked if this is what was coming, and was told NO. Judging by some of the other threads about comms lately, you have a problem there.

Had the gentleman on the telephone let me know what you just did, I would have bought it. You lost a sale, and my money went elsewhere.
When did you call? Who did you speak to? All the staff know we have these as we have been expecting them for some time. There must have been a misunderstanding as to what was being discussed.

Can't remember the name, but it WASN'T Chris. My questions were very specific. I certainly dumbed the questions down to ensure that anybody on the other end of the phone would know what I was getting at. I'm disappointed since I have been wanting this for some time and have called several times about shorter barrels, but I guess it wasn't in the cards.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but your ATT should state you can transport any restricted firearm for which you hold a valid certificate of registration. Therefore you should be able to change your barrel, transport the firearm as if it was restricted (i.e properly secured, reasonably direct, certified range, etc.), as long as you bring your non-restricted certificate for the firearm. If the rifle retains the barrel for longer than 30 days then it's status must be updated.

It depends on the ATT. Some say "any restricted firearm owned" and some list out the specific cert numbers.

I spoke with my staff. I believe your question was not whether we were getting barrels, but more to do with the mounts. The barrel in my picture does not included a sight mount, only the base for the sight mount. I hope this clears up any confusion you may have. If you have any questions, please give us a call and ask for me, Chris.

So I've just learned. Whatcha gonna do, huh? ;)

I've told Paul that the store credit which I now have with CanAm may end up beig used with the full-length RT rail coming in soon.
No biggie, I'll end up getting what I ordered to begin with. ;)

I have asked for the same thing. Paul said that the RT rails are enroute to CANAM and will be installed early next week. The Tavor's will then be shipped out. Now I just have to get an adaptor for the Meprolight so I can ditch it on some forum/ebay, etc. Further delay's, but what do you do.

I'm in. Although the actual "rifle in hand" timing (at least for me and Peter) is awfully close to my prediction (mid-August) - I've got mine in the mail yesterday (Aug. 9), but without the bolt (it was forgotten). So, by the time I get the bolt (that can be considered as delivery of a complete rifle), it will be exactly mid-August. So, Peter, I think we can send a collection agency after 7.62 Para's $10.

Let me know if it makes sense.

I ended up swapping my order for a railed version last week. I was originally going to go with non-railed and then get an RT rail, but then I'd be stuck with an M-21 which I wouldn't be able to use anywhere else.

As well, I also heard it thru unconfirmed sources deep within the bowels of that bastion called CanadaAmmo that I might just win that bet yet.

Question; What if I only receive it the 1st to 2nd week of Aug? 7.65, Albog & I will all have been wrong.

Suggestion; If none of us win, we all send the money we bet as a contribution to the CSSA/CILA. How does that sound?
