Tavor's

Got it, good to know as I only tried new Razor HD at the store and really liked it. Might get Viper PST as they seem affordable.

Let us know how it performs!

I didnt mean to say it in too much of a negative way, just for myself when comparing to my CMR and XTR there was a little too much going on for my liking. They were excellent scopes tho and I wouldnt talk anyone out of them but if you have a chance to look thru one first that may be best.

Here is my tavor with a Fenix TK11 and Trijicon TA31.

Does the pmags work well with tavor? Or does it need some modifications?
All my pmags stick a bit. Some materials needs to be taken off from the front and back. It wiggles left to right when it is inserted to the rifle but doesn't wiggle forward or backward like my metals mags.

Just a word of advice, might be helpful to research...I read somewhere that pmags are not compatible with the Tavor because the "U" shaped notch at the top of the spine slightly activates the bolt hold open and can damage the bolt / bolt carrier.

I never had a chance to modify PMAGS and never tried it in my Tavor.

I think TV Press and Blaxsun posted about this some time ago.

cheers

Classic question. It's a back and forth thing. Some people say I'm high and have no idea what I'm talking about.

Personally I take 5 minutes and square the back of my P-mags. I've done three videos now looking at it as an issue?

You can read the full thing in a blog post I wrote a while back when the American's were flipping out:

Also: one of the reasons I jumped from the Viper PST to the Razor was for "less business" in the Razor reticle. I didn't mind the Milrad reticle in my PST, but I also didn't use it.

A little off topic guys but is the front of your guys charging handle peening from coming into contact with the locking spring? I noticed it yesterday at the range on mine. I'm going to assume it's the same deal with my ACRs charging handle, simply making clearance for the parts to mate together.

Sorry I checked this on my Tavor as soon as I read your post, then promptly forgot to reply to the thread.

I've heard about other people seeing marks and discolouration on their charging handles. Mine is that solid brassy tone all the way down except for the powder and gas marks on the very tip.

I do have a thin silver area that worn along the inside of the charging handle that could come from the locking spring. It's about 1/16th of an inch wide though.

Apparently replacement charging handles are something that North Sylva brings in though!

Sorry TV I should have been more specific, I meant the actual polymer "cocking knob". Mine is getting pretty chewed up right at the front and my rifle is barely a week old, only taken out once the other day. I noticed it when I was teaching my friend manipulation and the polymer was frayed and deformed around the locking spring area.

Hmmmm. . . post a picture for me? That's unusual.

I'd talk with the importer first...

Sorry, I am using a cell phone otherwise I would. The lip of the front of the charging handle has a groove being carved into it. I looked up some pics on google and a fair amount of them have the same groove, not nearly as pronounced though. I'm thinking its just so the spring has clearance to make it up that small ramp. Would it be possible for you to post a pic of the front of your charging handle for me? Much appreciated.

Has anyone come up with a spare parts list yet?? Waiting to hear back from North Sylvia
Here are the parts I want
00.704.3100 Bolt
00.704.3001 Firing Pin
00.704.3002 Bolt Guide Pin
00.704.3221 Buffer
00.704.3102 Extractor
00.704.3106 Extractor pivot
00.704.3108 Extractor spring
00.704.0010 Cocking handle bar sub-assembly
00.704.1022 Bolt carrier stopper

Interesting. I checked mine, snapped a photo and then left the SD card at home.

Pretty sure mine doesn't look like that . . . no chip or wear on the plastic that I recall. I'll confirm 100% tonight.
