So burger king is in a 35 percent tax bracket but if they buy Tim Hortons and move headquarters to Canada then they will be in a 15 percent tax bracket. What's up with that, does that work the same for Canadians wanting to move their business to the states?

Dammit, reading the title I thought Tims was going to do for hunters what they did for the armed forces in Afghanistan, get out there where the bullets are flying.

Corporate tax rates are higher in the US....but there is no way they would be in a 15% tax bracket in Canada.

Federal corporate tax is indeed 15% in Canada, however that leaves out the provincial portions for wherever they incorporate. There are likely more advantages in side benefits we're not catching here. And indeed, US corporate tax is viciously high, contrary to popular belief.

I think you are in the wrong forum

I thought so too(wrong forum) but to answer the question (before this thread gets moved ) is that BK is leaving a 35% tax bracket and I do not think many Canadian Companies want to move there...Much cheaper to move to China.
Hmm, now for a Double Double .
