Taylor 1860 Army .44 couple of questions

I didn't see any mention of moose milk, 1:10 ballistiol to water to nutralize powder residue and clean.

I wondered how this would go for people watching all the BP pistols sell out.

MM is the bee's knees (yes I'm almost that old) for end of the day quick cleaning for multiple day shoots or for a break of a few days. For longer term DEEP cleaning I prefer the hot soapy water and full detail strip down followed by a tooth brushing (not your current brush! :) ) with some Ballistol to oil all the parts and surfaces.

And since Ballistol is just about the only oil I know that is compatible with black powder you're going to need to keep some around. The Canola works great too. Just not mixed with water. But over time it oxidizes into a gummy varnish. So it's OK for a week or so but you don't want to leave it for too long. That's where the Ballistol comes in.

I really should have a go at the paper and ball cartridges. It would speed up the reloading by a lot. But that much more work at home. I really don't need yet another project.
