I bought a 44-40 from them in December and wasn’t easy to find cases. Ammunition I couldn’t find anywhere. Thanks to some people on here I was able to find cases.

These are a beautiful firearm to own and shoot.

I go down to the North South Skirmish Association Nationals in Winchester, Virginia and the 1860's seem to be luved by many.

I have shot both the steel and brass framed varieties, but I almost prefer the look of the brass frame of which I own an unfired one now in 44-40.

Before you ask, I have other rifles chambered in this calibre that I presently shoot and reload for now.

In one way, I was holding out for a steel frame version as an everyday shooter.

Decisions, decisions, do I buy this version and sell my brass framed one.

I was lucky enough to find one in .45 Colt. I'm guessing this is also made by Uberti at this price point. The Henry brand price is $3400 US.
