I just got mine this week - far sooner than expected, and had it out to the range yesterday.
Lots of fun. Compared to my Winchester 73 the lever stroke is less, and I swear the springs feel lighter - this must be the "tuned" action.
If I load 13, the first cartridge is difficult to chamber - I suspect the compressed mag follower spring works against pushing #12 back into the tube so that the elevator can lift. Following shots are easy to chamber and the action is slick.
My round nose 124Gr CamPros are a bit fussy to load, but if each cartridge is pushed past the loading gate such that it closes, it's easier to get the following cartridge in. I suspect a TC bullet style would work better.
I put so many rounds through that I didn't realize that my index finger was bloody from loading the mag so many times - lol
I guess I shot at least 150 rounds.
I needed to adjust the windage slightly - a wooden dowel and rubber mallet sorted that out. The rear dovetail is on the loose side and did not need much pursuasion, unlike other rifles I've had to adjust - I almost knocked the sight clear out. I may give it a dab of super glue, though I expect it'll hold firm, given the spring tension of the elevation ramp and the low recoil.
I've had a number of PCCs over the years. I've sold all of them, due either to them throwing flaming bits of crap in lefties face, or for there simply being no pride in ownership of polymer and pot metal guns.
This is a beautiful gun that satisfies my old-school tastes and sinistral nature.
It's a keeper
Now I'd love to see one in 45ACP
