If 500 less, I would suspect they are the chiappa and not the taylors ones....

I am pretty confused, because on the Taylor and co website, the 16" takedown 1892 in 44 mag has "Chiappa" as the manufacture --- so by all accounts they are chiappa made.

Yes, they start with a Chiappa then go from from there. Still in the Chiappa box too. Taylors doesn't actually make anything from 'scratch', they start with Uberti, Pedersoli, Chiappa, etc and then tune/add from to that product.

The only issue is if Taylors has trouble getting the 'raw' firearm in stock to do the work on.
