Bought a TC Pro Hunter Stainless in 223 cal. Does anyone know what the twist TC made the barrels?

Correct me if i wrong but I believe it might be 1 in 12, which means I can get into loading heavy bullets for stability reasons.

If it is 1:12 what is the heaviest slug I can get away with?

Thanks,

I have had two .223 rifles with a 1:12 twist. (both browning a-bolts) and the biggest I could stabilize was 62 grain pills. Unless you are shooting purely paper at long range, 62 grainers are as big as most need for the purposes of a .223

Yours is 1:12".
Your 223 barrel should be an easy dump to fund a new barrel if you want a faster twist rate.

You can get a 1:8'' from Bullberry Barrel Works,or E. Arthur Brown Company.

I got mine from Bullberry, then found out i could have gotten it from E. Arthur Brown Company cheaper. On the plus side the bullberry is accuracy guranteed. I am currently waiting on a 225Win barrel.

Who has the EAB barrels up here? Or better yet how did you get the Bullberry? I really want one of the Bellm reworked Bergara's in .270 also but I can't find a way to get one up here.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Twist rates ht tp://www.tcarms.com/firearms/chart_encore.php My .223 barrel doesn't like anything over 62 gr also. Groups are nonexistant at 67gr with some keyholing even.
