I'm having trouble with the trigger, when I set it to hair trigger it's a 50/50 chance it well fire. When I don't use it chance's are a bit better any advice. Also any advice on getting a good look into the barrel for inspection.

They make small bore lights that you can drop down the barrel to see all but the breach.

With the trigger, does it set and activate the way that it should? If so then the trouble is probably with the lock. Have you had it apart to look for a broken sear or miss alignment? Possibly broken fly?

Viewing the barrel , It is possible to unscrew the snail breech plug , be sure to use padded vise etc .
As for the trigger , some adjustments are possible with the small screw, you probably have tried that. Careful polishing of the mating surfaces may be a fix.
cheers

When they mushroom over like that, chuck the nipple in a drill and lightly file it, comes out nice and true that way .
Cheers nessy

Pull the trigger and tune it up out of the gun. There are only 2 screws , and it is easy to see what is going on when it is in your hand.
