TC Hot Shot youth .22LR

I Pick one up for my 10 year old son in 2012 he got his first grouse with it. Probably shot 500 or more rounds with the odd misfire with bulk ammo. Still locks up good and functions fine. On the other hand a friend of mine pick one up and had nothing but problems with Soft primer strikes. He returned it. It's perfect entry level Youth rifle. Enjoy

They very likely use the same barrels as they used on their Contender target shooting guns. I'm assuming here that the Hot Shot was a clone of the Contender but likely with not quite as nice a finish. The Hot Shots seem a little more of a matt finish instead of the polished blue jobs of the Contenders.

They do look small until in the hands of a kid. Then they look too big or just right depending on the size of the young'un.

I have one. It's on its second kid now. Hammer spring kept getting lighter and lighter so I phoned them and with the serial number they send me out a new spring for free. I like how it's ambidextrous too.

Very pleased with this gun. It is very accurate and required very little adjustment right out of the box. I can comfortably hit a 2" spinner target at 40m.

Im going to order a couple of those hammer springs though. My gun doesnt have issues but id rather those now then 10 years from now when i need them.
