Received an invite to hunt in Oct. so checked zero today on Icon .308 - last time shot it with handloads.
First one is at 100m can see bullets 1-8. Then went to 200m to see what come up is, can see bullets 9-10. Then let barrel cool, switched from Remington Corelokt 150gr to Federal Power Shok 150 gr, let it cool, and shot another 3 bullets at 200m. Scope is a 4-12x 40mm and was set to 12x. Was a little windy, right to left up to 100m, then left to right - wind kind of comes in the swirls out, range in a bit of bowl (may have affected 4&5 as had to reload mag, that or just a testament to my lack of shooting ability and indicative of just how good this rifle is).
Anyways, cheapest hunting ammo available, cold bore (clean for Rem, fouled for Fed), .55moa group at 200m (yes its onlly 3 shots but it is a hunting rifle, not a target rifle), and generally the people I go shooting with are all better shots than me so will credit the rifle, one happy rifle (total of 25 rounds through it). Also, virtually no kick, credit stock construction or the pad on it, either way, if it had a heavy barrel on it would shoot it all day.
Shot the T/C R55 .22 at a little flip up auto reset target at 100m in between - very accurate little .22 and those flip up targets are a lot of fun - see if can clean the target before buddy can hit it.
