Any reviews thoughts on this gun?

Who carries them? and most importantly how much is it going to cost my bank account?

thanks,

Not too much about this particular one, but I have read a lot about the Venture. This is a toned down version of the Icon, but with all the good stuff the Icon has.

The ventures are shooting sub MOA groups out of the box, and Jo Brooks has a good selection at a great price. I would have bought one but a new 17 HMR fell in my lap.

I would imagine that the Icon is all that as well.

Good luck with your selection.

I don't have the precsion hunter but I have an Icon classic in 300 win. This thing shoots! All I've tried are 180gr hornady factory loads, 3 shots touching or nearly touching at 100 yds consistantly. Stopped all plans of load developing right there. I'm quite happy with this rifle, I really should use it more. I'm not sure what the precision hunter will cost but the icons were in that $1000 range. I don't think they've sold particularly well in Canada, pitty, they're great rifles that are well built. I really like the integral weaver bases, the bedding system and the timney designed trigger. Don't expect to find accesories for this rifle, not that you should need them, it doesn't have the parts available like a remmy or winchester.

Yeah I am trying to decide between this gun and a Savage 11 GCNS in .22-250, both barrels are 22" with 1 in 12 twists. Overall length of the savage is 42.5" The TC is a hair shorter at 42", but obviously the TC has the heavy barrel and the said weight is 8lbs vs the 6.75lbs of the Savage. I would like to use it for coyote hunting, the TC looks a little chunkier but am I really going to notice the 1.25lbs?

thanks,

Wil you notice the 1.25 lbs? Depends if you're gonna carry it up a mountain or shoot from a bench. If you do much walking with it you'll feel every pound after awhile, but maybe you're in better shape than I am! :)

So anyone on here have this gun? any dealers in Canada carrying it?

You will probably need to special order this rifle. There are many tc dealers, check their list of Canadian dealers and choose the one that you like or someone local to you. Shouldn't be to big of a deal to get it.

I have the Precision Hunter Icon .308. My advice? Buy the gun and run! Well worth the money! I didn't have the funds for a scope so I put a $120 Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40. I can put 5 shot groups at under an inch all day! Best grouping was with Rem Core Lokts 180gr : 5 shots in .48 of an inch.

Do you find it really heavy? are you simply using it for bench shooting or hunting as well?

icons

we have sold several of the icons in 308 and 270, they shoot very well, easily obtain sub moa groups at 100 yds, still have some 270's and 22-250's price is $880.00 plus tax and shipping.
