TC Icon

I asked some time ago to a TC distributor in Manitoba, following copy of their answer:

Nice to see you are up on the latest in firearms

TC Icon,
No Pricing from the factory yet
Probably not available into Canada in 2007

Best estimate we have is that it will be a $1200 to $1500 Rifle
...

Likely going to be very limited numbers up here this year.
The fact that the first few thousand are going to be deluxe wood means very few will make it across the border.

Check my post in this forum under T/C Icon (Picture Posted) on Sept 29..and you can see my Icon and get the "early" report from the range. Eary results were impressive but "testing" has been interupted by the arrival of a new Cooper. I hope to get back to the Icon next week.

Outfitters said their supplier got 4, three went to employees one to another dealer but they are expecting 21 more. So I have to keep waiting or call SIR who say they have 6 onhand, at $1044

I purchased mine from SIR in early Sept. I have bought several rifles from them and found them good to deal with...best of luck with the Icon.

I want one. Badly. BUT I have no use for a 22-250 or 243. The 30 TC is just a stupid round. I suppose the 308 would do, but I'd MUCH prefer a 260, 7mm08 or maybe one of the WSM's

You are right indeed, Dan! Unless we "boycott" American made firearms, we will not see price parity for some time..I just hope the loonie stays strong for that long.
I was going to order an H-S Precision but will not do so until Canadian dealers drop prices.
Now, if we could just gain on the Euro, there are some mighty fine rifles made in that neihborhood!
