The next Team Hoser match at the Guelph Rod and Gun Club will be a 2-Gun affair on November 15 2014.
Rifle and Shotgun
Squad start times are 09:00 and 13:00
100 rounds of rifle ammunition, 100 birdshot and 5 slugs will suffice
Match fee is $40
Match runs rain or shine.

NO STEEL CORE/ARMOUR PIERCING AMMO PERMITTED

As usual this match requires preregistration and prepayment of match fees via Interac e-Transfer (EMT)

Since we had not officially posted our match we are looking at some possible alternative dates for our match. We all know we want to shoot as many as possible! Will keep everyone posted.

Is this the one organized by CAPS? If so we spoke to the CAPS team but we still haven't got an invitation to that. :) We are attending regardless of the date you're changing it to, unless there's a zombie outbreak of course.
 
I know what I will be doing on Monday at 19:59. Hell I'll have 2 computers side-by-side ready to go, one for EMT one for registration.

What kind of equipment do you need for these stages? How much ammo should a competitor be able to carry at a time? I have a friend interested in attending for whom this would sort of be his first action shooting match and he's not sure what types of equipment might be needed.

First and foremost your friend will need some sort of recognized training/credential in order to participate.
Accepted are: the ipsc black badge, PPC (either CSSA or CPCA)
IDPA, CDP/ODPL, or if employed as an armed peace officer.

A read through the rules will outline the equipment as well as make your friend familiar with, well... The rules.
 
A great idea is to let your friend come and watch a match (I know not as exciting as shooting it) but that can take some of the intimidation factor out of it. He can also take a gander at the wide range of equipment available and maybe figure out a starting point.
