Can i use a pistol calibre carbine? Any idea of round count yet? I'm sure i'll have a few more stupid questions as we get closer to the date but that's all for now.

If it has a steel core then... Yes
(You should know what your ammo is made of..)


Check using a strong magnet.

Team Hoser has invested in some new rifle rated steel targets, however they are not rated to withstand AP or steel core (penetrator) boolits.
We'd like them to last for more than one match lol

No, slings are not neccessary.

most if not all military surplus comblock 7.62x39 are steel core/jacketed. not safe to shoot indoors. run a magnet to check.

The original Soviet M43 bullets are boat-tail bullets with a copper-plated steel jacket, a large steel core, and some lead between the core and the jacket.

Round count will be as follows:

42 handgun and 30 rifle with 4 stages. This is not set in stone but it is a good starting point for everyone.

No steel core and most surplus is military which is steel core.

Slings will not be used.

Bring what you want pistol carbine, black rifle hell even a lever action but there will be a par time to max out on.
